Figured this was the best place to ask this one, since we are travelling on LH. My wife and I are flying from Heathrow, connecting in Dusseldorf, and then onto Chicago - we live in the USA.

While we were in Germany last week, my wife bought a camera. I understand we are eligible to reclaim the duty tax, as the camera is essentially being exported.

I imagine we can make an application at Dusseldorf*, do any of you kind people have any idea how/where we can do this, and how long the process will take (since we are connecting through).

*not sure if the European trade rules would allow us to make the application at Heathrow?
