We are looking for the weekend of Oct 21 to 23, but most any weekend through end of November would likely work.
Regarding Porter some of their layovers in Toronto are quite a few hours.
At this time, the fares are 'normal' for NYC-Canada, that is to say, expensive.
I looked at your dates and Porter has a few reasonable flights with 40-60 min in between. The good thing about Porter is that they serve snacks and drinks (including alcohol) on their flights and a lounge open to all. The caveat I found with Porter is that Q400s can get delayed with bad weather.
Nevertheless, for $79.50 each way + tax ($272), its about $100 less than the other airlines at present.
