If you're going down the Star route, LH fly FRA-BLR daily until the end of March, then 4*weekly. There's easy connections and codeshares with UA into FRA, and an easier transfer there than DEL or BOM.

Not sure how you'd escape to continue as international flights from BLR seem to be limited.
