What? Are you implying airlines are weasely? I fail to understand why people take potshots at lawyers, when airlines are such obvious targets...

I am betting it's not-so-intelligent design.

Horseguy, if the OP is flying that route regularly, I do agree he should be looking into AAirpass; thanks for bringing it up.

I am not sure if it's by design or by mistake: all of AA's competitors still have the 3rd tier first class fare filed, but none of them flies that route nonstop. And legacies are known for extorting/taking advantage of fliers when they're not checked by more ethical competitors.
