I found out that Air Canada's "On My Way" service is not available if your tickets were booked using Aeroplan miles. That is very annoying since the flights are with AC and used up a lot of points.

I also asked whether OMW would rebook a flight if the delay/cancellation was due to a strike by flight attendants which may happen this month. Would you believe the Rep did not know. She checked with others in her office and still they were not sure - that's at the direct phone number for OMW. Anyway, very nice lady who said "it was a very good question" that she would have to follow up with higher up the chain. She promised to call me back. I'll post again if I ever hear from her.
