I recently accepted a consulting position in Sacramento, CA and will be making the CLT to SMF flight 2 to 3 times a month. Living in CLT my thought is to fly USAir, immediately challenge to Platinum and hope for some upgrades. All the flights to SMF from CLT connect in PHL or PHX. I was curious if anyone has any expérience on upgrade chances on the PHL - SMF or PHX - SMF route? As any airline for me requires a stopover this would influence my choice of airline.
