I'm not sure if this link has been posted before, I apologise if it has. It's in response to the rather derogatory comments by some posters.
I confess, I am crew, so maybe I'm just a little bit touchy about things. I shouldn't rise to the bait, I know. But I did, so here is a little video for you to watch. Enjoy (hope it works, I'm not really sure how to do this link malarky)
As most of you know, the initial training lasts 6-8 weeks at the start of the job, then for a week every year. We have three manuals to memorise and have to recall the most obscure facts at recurrent. We don't claim to be experts in anything, but a jack of all trades who have to be able to adapt to lots of situations. Some of you may think a week in the simulators is fun, trust me, it isn't.
I know the vast majority of you do understand that it isn't just flinging chicken or beef at someone, and to you, <<insert kiss smilie>> (no idea how to do those either!)

Fab video!
I think though that this thread has strayed into something it was not about!
I think the majority of posters even the OP understand the importance of the safety demonstration.
I think the original post was about how unpleasant the cabin crew member was towards the OP.
Safety is very important and YES it is always important to watch the video but NO she should not have told him off like a child.
As for the posters comparing cabin crew to waitresses well just don't feed them is my advise.
