But you are right, it is also largely a points thing. I'll earn enough points in this stay for weeks worth of leisure accommodations or some 75K airline miles. The extended stay in a chain property will convert into goodwill from the chain for future stays at different properties.

Had I been a Royal Ambassador I should have taken the Intercon. Better physical plant, amazing location and it'd have enhanced my IHG status and likely I'd have had a way to see the two NFL game I wanted to see which was available on ASN. The Sheraton's TV options are really horrid. At least at the WGS they have enhanced options at the Zest Bar and would have shown the game there in the morning.

The Sheraton has been really great to me and I couldn't imagine such a long stay in a regular room (hence the need for Royal Ambassador to consider the Intercon). I came to the Sheraton not knowing if I'd be upgraded but I've been in a suite the entire time. They probably could have gone a bit far seeing how long I'm here. Maybe a bottle of wine here or there. A free meal here in the restaurant here and there. Maybe a free massage treatment. But there aren't complaints as much as just thinking of how the Sheraton could step up their game and make people want to stay here rather than feel resigned to staying here.
yosithezet, care to share in approx terms how much the long stay rate cost? I may be looking at using one of these. pm me if inconvenient. Thanks.
