Thanks! Y'all are awesome!
I'll try my luck and take accommodations as they come. I don't require much. If worse comes to worse, I know how to sleep in a car. Showers are the hardest part of any trip.
My friends are up north in a town called Berowra. Short enough name but it definitely twists my mouth into knots trying to say it. Of course, here they just take names you already know and mispronounce them. I never have figured that out. (I'm not native to anywhere really, I was a military brat growing up.) Berowra looks like it has train service which will be a treat for me. We have negligible public transit where I live now. If you don't have a car here, you're SOL.
I think you've both given me a pretty good list to look out for. I don't mind pale ales at all. (I guess I better not assume pale means pale ale though?) They're on just the right side of flavor and color for me. What I don't like is anything like what is popular over here in the states. Just a bit dull for me. I'm still suspicious of the Clydesdales kept on brewery property too.
This should be fun.
