There is a 10% penalty if an Americas originated trip (IATA Area 1) is cancelled within 7 days of the scheduled departure. There is no penalty if the trip originates outside the Americas, however some airlines may impose a "service fee" for their work (I believe BA charges EGP300 in CAI).</font>
I can live with losing EGP300. The reason I asked this is that I have a job interview on January 2nd. Obviously, should I be offered the job, I would take it and would not be able to use the RTW ticket. Otherwise, it would be fun to do, even if by myself.
How would one go about getting a refund for an ex-CAI ticket if they hadn't picked the ticket up yet?
