My wife and I are planning to spend a month in Costa Rica for a missionary assignment starting in late Oct/early Nov. I don't have enough points for a flight (31k - Delta; 12k - US Airways.) I've been searching Kayak and the cheapest flight is $480 on TACA.

Is TACA connected to any other awards program? I would prefer to get Delta/US Airways miles. Also, is there any cheaper way to get down there than $480?
