Thanks - that is very useful. Looks like I might as well buy some extra BA miles and book through BA to be on the safe side.

I think I have read on here that you could start the trip, say OSL - LON before the two year birthday to get the infant fare and then do LON - long haul dest. LON - OSL within the normal validity of the reward ticket. If someone knows otherwise I would very much like to know!
