You have get me thinking hard about remaining platinum. It will require a lot of extra segment runs and money. However I have been upgraded several times both on short haul and long. And the feeling you get when upgraded is very pleasant! It's also nice to have priority when calling FB. Anyway, both me and my wife enjoy flying, so we'll see what to decide.
