Opt out in PHX
Friday morning, went through the line, and when I got to the point where I could go to the WTMD or the radiation blaster, I walked to the WTMD. The "officer" sitting there told me to take off my belt and go to the blaster. I stated that I would like to opt out. He called on his radio, "male assist at lane 3". some woman screener shouted "another one?", to which he said "yes".
I stood there for awhile, waiting for my male screener to take me away. other pax were going through the scanner, and at one point the guy manning the scanner asked me to move back some, so I scooted back a half inch or so.
I had to stand there to be able to see through the scanner to where all my stuff was sitting there on the belt.
the guy called on his radio again for a male assist, to which the same lady said again, "another one?". the guy said, "no, its the same one".
I finally received my pat down. they actuall brought all my stuff with me after asking what was mine, so I didn't have to contort to see my stuff.
I think it was that lady's mission in life to always ask, "another one?"
