Seems there are a few offerings out there.
1.CoPilot Live
2. NDrive
3. MapDroyd
4. Google Maps

I've not explored the off-line maps thing much beyond the simple google search I just did.
Still love my TomTom for ease of use,screen Size and 'cost'.
