I have had charges that never showed up, but never on something expensive. It's always been smaller charges for things...15 dollars at a drug store, 10 for lunch..usually mom and pop places too. More often, I get DOUBLE charged on stuff! Always check your bill and always keep your receipts.
Haven't had it happen for a few years now, but over the course of several years before that once or twice a year one of our debit card transactions (usually at the grocery store) never went through.
