A good friend of mine has 20K orphan miles expiring this month, so he upgraded me from J to F on my last sector (HKG-MNL) which I'm connecting from PVG.

CX367 PVG-HKG on 11 Sep 11 (....just realized thats i'm flying on SEPT 11!!) still shows that it will be 77A and that rows 1 & 2 appear on the seat map for J albeit blocked or occupied.



ijgordon says I might have a chance to get on those seats if I am on a connecting flight on F (Doubt I'll ever reach DM status)...so do I request that upon check in? or is it pretty much automatic?

Oh...I'm quite new when it comes to CX, so I'm wondering if my bag will be tagged as First or Business when it gets checked through from PVG?
