Please note that even the premium rental coverage does not cover LIABILITY to other parties, so you can either choose the SLI or let yourself be covered by your own insurance. (Note that if you do not have insurance, rental companies are required to cover you for liability up to the mandated state minimums, but these amounts are very low.)
Just to clarify...Do you mean to say that my personal auto liability insurance would normally cover me for liability on a car rental?
