MUC is an easy airport for connection. The flight from BCN may arrive at a remote apron position and passengers will be brought to the terminal (T2) by bus. Flights to the US depart from H gates in T2. If they just follow the signs for their departure gate they will be taken through passport control and any security. However since they are arriving from another EU country they shouldn't need to go through security in MUC.
Unless the incoming flight is late they should have time for a quick visit to the newly refurbished Business Lounge on Level H.
