Well, I am based in Toulouse so we have a certain number of Spanish speaking employees. Avios is apparently not a word without meaning, it means something like 'equipment' in Spanish so the association with a company that services airlines is not without logic I guess.
I have asked the wife,the neighbour and the lovely seņorita at the corner shop......it means bugger all to them. In fact, when questioned they looked at me as if I was an idiot.
