I am currently at Aberdeen airport and checked in using my Blackberry Torch, downloaded my boarding pass and been to security. I have been denied entrance to departures and told to get a printed boarding pass because the bar code on my blackberry was a rectangle rather than a square!

Think it is a software issue at ABZ. I have a torch as well which didn't work at ORY (previous bold did). They let me know after a few weeks that it was OK to use again as they had upgraded their software to deal with 'non square' barcodes.
Now they just have to upgrade the security and general facilities at the non Schengen gates...
