I've just ticketed a 10 segment Star RTW ticket. I boked the first 6 segments and am leaving the rest open. Not only because of changes I plan on making to my dates which I won't know till later next year, but because some airlines I'm not able to book so far in advance. So I'd rather leave it open, than book it in for the last time I can book and then have to change it.
