This is the most helpful advice so far in this thread for US travellers to Ireland ^ Almost all credit card-based insurance policies exclude Ireland as well as a couple of other countries - easy to get caught out by this if you've travelled outside the US a few times and discovered your credit card insurance would normally cover you.
