I have it on excellent authority
(1) that the following changes to the BAEC are certain to be introduced in November
(2):
.
- F redemptions will be available only to GCHs who have previously been Blue, Bronze and Silver in the same membership year.
- 10,000 TPs will provide a OW Sapphire for life (assuming you have the life-span of a mayfly)
- Forward-facing CW seats will be reserved solely for GCHs. Silvers must always sit facing rearwards.
- Euro-cheating will be prohibited unless you live in Monaco and own your own helicopter.
- Redemptions from LHR-JFK will be available to absolutely anyone who can fly a 737 underneath the LGW air-bridge (the first attempt may be conducted in the simulator).
- Bronze tier will be introduced. Eligibility will be determined by an interview with Pucci and selection may be made only if you are of "the right sort."
- Bronze card-holders will be allowed into the lounge no more than 5 minutes before the gate closes and given the choice of a funnel or a straw. Binge drinking is preferable to clogging up all the best seats.
- Premiers may access sunrisegirl's hot-tub (subject to ... er ... capacity).
- GCHs will henceforth be required to describe the difference between Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Le Champ Gain 2007 and Corton Bressandes Grand Cru 2008 in a blind taste-test before being given their card.
- However, GCs to be made of actual gold.
- Blue lounge to be introduced under the Bring Your Own principle (limited to 100ml bottles and situated within 10m of the gate).
- MFU: You may MFU to the exit row (actually, perhaps I shouldn't give them ideas.)
- Avios, Aviae, Aviatum, Aviato, Aviamus, Abi Titmus.
- JER to be regarded as part of France for the purposes of amusement.
