Geekiness is a positive FT attribute and you're right - BUF was a bad example as AA doesn't fly BUF-JFK. However, it works on say, RDU, WAS, or BOS via JFK for instance, or for ATL or MCO via MIA. Well basically, anywhere from where you can take a connecting flight via JFK or MIA which is a LOT of possible routings.
I get it; thanks. Also via IAD. Actually JFK may be more difficult because there are a lot of three class planes and cheap-ish instant upgrades (again as I geekily understand it) only book into I class.
