Geekiness is a positive FT attribute and you're right - BUF was a bad example as AA doesn't fly BUF-JFK. However, it works on say, RDU, WAS, or BOS via JFK for instance, or for ATL or MCO via MIA. Well basically, anywhere from where you can take a connecting flight via JFK or MIA which is a LOT of possible routings.
