If your flying patterns warrant at least a CI Gold (as if you were to fly CI the entire time), I don't see any harm to try to ask them for a status match. Though, I would say it's really hard to match BR Silver for CI Gold as BR Silver's requirements are lower than CI Gold...
so I do need to contact them to get a match? But how? Just call the customer/FFP service line?
It also strikes me that I can also ask them to bump me up a level? I ask this because my mom has been flying PL (full-priced tickets) between EWR and TPE this past year, and her last trip was supposed to allow her a BR Gold, alas she just missed the one-year period for a bit. So chances are they'll give her Gold if we ask them to examine her travel patterns, right?
