I will have two nights and want to stay in two hotels to max stay count and points, which two would you suggest? Gateway then Westin or vice versa in terms of convenience? (all three SPG hotels within $5 difference only)

Day 1:
Arrive afternoon
take big blue bus to Santa Monica (Sunset)
I return LAX for overnight mileage run, my friend stay in SM later then back by bus

Day 2:
Get rental car (Morning)
visit LA

Day 3:
Visit LA
Return rental car (night)
LAX fly away

So the hotel for 1st night should near the Big Blue bus stop and also easy shuttle for me to go to/from LAX. Will that be Sheraton or Westin? Which hotel is better for getting rental car?

Btw, any Supermarket near those hotels? Ralph?
