In anticipation of losing electricity due to Hurricane Irene, booked several nights at the nearby HIE Stony Brook for Point Break price of 5,000 points per night. Indulged in such luxuries as lights, air conditioning, TV, internet, hot showers, and a hot breakfast, all for what will effectively cost $30 per night. Staff was very friendly and the hotel is the nicest HIE I've been in. I almost didn't want to come home after power was restored!
