I will be moving to SIN soon from the US for 2-3 years. I am currently *G through United and have been accruing miles on UA Mileage Plus for about 15 years. From SIN, I will fly primarily to SYD and HKG, with some flights to BLR, KUL and CGK all in Y. In addition, I will fly once a year in J to LAX. I'd like to redeem miles primarily on the SIN-DEL route.

Would you recommend I switch to the SQ KF program given that SQ will of course have the most convenient schedule. Or should I just keep accruing miles on UA? SQ doesn't offer the elite bonus, so I don't have much incentive to accrue SQ flights on UA. Will try to fly NH or UA from SIN to LAX in order to get the elite bonus.

To throw a curve-ball, I also have lifetime Platinum status with AA, so I can conveniently fly CX and QF to HKG and SYD respectively and earn 100% elite bonus miles.
