No changes to the oneworld awards are planned. Also, one way awards are OK, except no open jaws allowed. I have used oneworld awards in this way in the past without problems. Under 20K miles only costs 130K FF miles in biz, a good deal since one can stop over anywhere along the way. Remember that one can NOT change the carrier (even on the same routing) once the ticket is issued. So don't expect to switch to BA from QF on the LHR-SYD segments.
