I have never had a traditional AMEX (only the Citi AA AMEX) so I am not sure how the RSVP thing works, but you may be able to call and ask if you can still get it. I had received a bunch of 50K offers via mail prior to this, but never pulled the trigger. I am thinking 75K is probably worth pulling the trigger on, even though I have recently signed up for Cap1, and both AA cards.
Thanks for the info MaineFlyer! I just activated my AMEX PRG card and called MR customer service. She looked up the code and checked to see if I qualified. She noted that it was "targeted" so she put me on hold to make sure that wouldn't be a problem. When she came back she said that after I met the $500 spend, I would get the 15K from my original offer and then 6-8 weeks later I would have to call back and they would manually enter the other 60K. Do you happen to remember if the first year $175 annual fee was waived?
