A few years ago I was traveling from Swaziland to CLT with a one night stop at my house in Germany.

When I entered the US in ORD they asked if I had been on any farms. I thook a deep breath and answered yes, and that I had actually been in close contact with cattle and other livestock.

The agent asked where the shoes were that I had worn on the farm, and I told him they were at my house in Germany. He welcomed me back to the US and I breezed out the door to the bag drop for my connecting flight.^

Slightly OT: My inbound from LHR was 1 hour late getting in and I had 29 minutes from the time I dropped my bag in Terminal 5 to get over to Gate G-5. The gentlemen at the bag drop told me there was no way I would make the flight. I told him I would be on the plane and just please make sure my bag makes it on board. (I said it with a smile, winked at him as I patted him on the arm.) I moved out very smartly and using all of my FF skills arrived at the gate just as they were welcoming all EXPs and PLTs to board; didn't even break stride as I walked up to the GA with my BP. I really didn't expect to see my checked bag in CLT, but it was the 4th bag on the belt. Great work by the AA ground crew in ORD!
