How about these questions:
-If I fly AA out of ATL, will I be able to use the TT lane if I enter in my CBP TT number? (I don't think so)
-My wife who is a TT but not elite made a reservation through Travelocity Business for a business trip. She wasn't able to enter a TT number into the system. If you go on AA.com, there's a blank for redress number but not TT number. Again, if she flies ex-ATL, will she be able to use the TT lane?
-I am a zero on DL. However, I just purchased tickets ATL-MCO. I was able to enter my TT number into DL's system... it's next to the redress number on their information screen. Are non-PLT+ AA members seeing the same screen?
-What about my kids??? I've heard conflicting information. Specifically, since young kids can't be members of GE, they aren't TT's... so regardless of my situation, my kids make me "untrustworthy". But aren't kids considered to be the lowest risk group for terrorism?
According to the TSA's website, you must be flying Delta in ATL and AA in MIA and DFW to participate in the program at this time. However, in either situation non-elite TTs are implied to be eligible. AA doesn't yet have a place to enter a PASS ID on either your AAdvantage profile or a reservation (whether through Travelocity or AA.com). The only way so far to enter it is through the targeted invitation email. With regards to your kids, the point of the program is to expedite trusted travelers, not their traveling companions. While children pose a lower risk, I doubt the TSA wants something as simple as age to be a determining factor in choosing passengers to endure less screening; it would be too easy to game. Anyway, if children were allowed in this lane it would almost certainly slow it down, which seems to go against the intent of the program as I view it.
