As this would be an involuntary change you may have some power in negotiating an extra segment / change without paying. You can only try.

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Australian Airlines has been flying direct services between Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taipei and Cairns and the Gold Coast since November 2002. Now we are expanding.
From March 3, customers will be able to book non-stop international flights between:
Sydney and Bali
Melbourne and Bali
Bali and Singapore
Cairns and Sydney
These new flights will commence 24 July 2003. Other routes including Shanghai in China and Sabah in Malaysia are also being considered for possible expansion later this year. </font>
