As far as your challenge, DL and CO have direct TV which is a difference. AA's food is a difference and UA's economy plus is a difference. Every major legacy has some differentiating factor it's up to consumers o pick the airline that best suits their needs.
my point is there is no airline that stands out - going back to the late 80s and throughout the 90s AA, DL and UA really were better than CO, NW, EA, PA, TW in terms of providing a relatively high quality product, although UA has long suffered from a disgruntled workforce.
