I know ua's 744s are not anywhere near the "old, unreliable" aircraft the official CO talking points have historically suggested they are. Ive been hearing that one for over 5 years now. I always saw it more as jealousy and envy...you know, 2-cabin 757s in sardine/hard bench seat config in E, v. 4-class state of the art 4-class 747-400 with an upper deck, forward nose F cabin, and Economy plus with that glorius extra pitch - you know, a true airplane befitting a true intl. carrier with access to the big cities people want to fly to. ohh,,, wait, because now here comes CO, with their fabled "AVOD" system (pernounced 'Aee-Vee-Ohh-Dee' no less), which officially makes the product better, in all cabins no less, rah. Though ive always been curious what the reccomended CO talking point response was to the reality the awful AA and UA had truly flat beds up in F when CO didnt. Im guessing just one more reason to focus even heavier on talking up CO's fabled customer service - oh wait, thats exactly what really DID happen. Was that one even defensible? Love how quickly we forget about what CO wasn't.
