1. Does my first segment have to be on BA for the BA RTW desk to make the booking and ticketing? If so, I will modify the booking so that I go BKK-SYD rather than BKK-SIN-HKG-SYD. So far only two segments are on BA so I’m concerned they may not make the booking.

BA will probably try to pass you off to CX. There seems to be a rule that a ticket is issued by the first International carrier. Aslo, there are only 2 flights on BA so there is not much in it for them.

2. I want to credit the miles to AA. Will BA make a booking for me when I am crediting the miles to AA?

If you can get then to do the booking then there is no problem putting your AA number in he booking. My QF booked AONE had my BA number in.

3. Connecting in NRT between SWP and US is permitted?

I see no problem with this.

4. I will book Four Points Sheraton for July 3, but arrive on July 4 at 12 Noon and check out sameday at 3PM. I will still get stay credit for July 3 stay, right?

I'm assuming you are arriving on CX101 at 10:50. I doubt very much that you will be in Darling Harbour by Noon. The Four Points will have had you down as a no-show long before then in any case.

5. I will then check in to W Sydney on July 4 afternoon. I still have two SWP segments, so I could do a quick round-trip on July 4 afternoon as long as I am back by 11PM. Any suggestions?

You could do a SYD-MEL-SYD trip no problem. The flights below are on one of QF's new A330's.

QF459 @ 18:00. Arrive 19:25
QF492 @ 20:30. Arrive 21:50

6. I will check out of W on July 5 morning before my SYD-PER-MEL-NRT-DFW-SJU flights. Since I will have checked baggage, will QF give me a problem to check it through for these five flights? Maybe I can check it through to NRT and then recheck for NRT-DFW-SJU?

I doubt very much that QF will check it through to SJU. If I was you I don't think I'd even try. That many flights numbers and destinations on a baggage label is likely to cause huge confusion.

7. I will be calling BA tonight at (800) 828-7797 (BA US RTW desk). Does anyone have a number for UK RTW services or an email for the RTW desk?

8. My wife will be meeting me in LHR on July 18 and we are planning a week’s driving vacation in Ireland. If anyone has any suggestions for places to visit please let me know.

The LHR-DUB-LHR flights are not a good use of your segments. It is a very short flight and Business Class is not really worth it. You can pick up a round trip ticket for less the £100. You could use your 2 segments for the normal LHR-IST-LHR run.</font>
