I'm mainly interested in priority check-in & boarding, extra luggage allowance and lounge access on *A. Any points I earn would more likely be for upgrades versus companion or free flights.
Most of my travel is for business but never ever will work pay for business class so having gold is the next best thing when travelling for work. Also it's nice to have those benefits for the ocasional personal travel with the family.
SQ seem to be the tightest airline for free upgrades so I'm no longer thinking that having earned gold by flying SQ and putting the points on KF gives any more chance of getting a free upgrade than putting the points on another loyalty program (yes, I do ask nicely every time I check-in).
I'm based in Singapore so almost all of the time the SQ or Silk flights will have the best schedule.
Anyone have any thoughts on the above?
Cheers

Actually, thinking about it a bit more, it doesn't matter which air miles program I put my points on so long as I attain *A Gold. I am thinking that as Aegean only requires 20k miles it might be the best way to get *A gold.
I'm in the exact same situation. I fly extensively for business but my company only pays for Eco tickets. In less than 2 months, I flew about 30,000 miles and it's being a slow period. I can hope for more or less 200,000 miles per year just for business trips.

SQ being a pain in the backside when it comes to rewards and upgrades, I'm wondering if it's worth accruing on SQ when I can also do so on TG or NH, as these seem to be more generous with their FFT.

I fly only out of SIN to India, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. With a few trips to Europe once or twice a year.
