My daughter saw New York, Poland, Majorca and France before she was a year old, I never had a problem travelling anywhere with her and she adjusted just fine. A lot of countries in Europe love children and won't think anything if you're out late at night with a child. true you may not want to visit places considered 'fine' dining but there are enough places where the dining experience is just as wonderful that won't have a problem with babies.
I would wait until your child is born and you've adjusted before you really start to plan travel, but 10 months isn't so bad an age to start travel at, my daughter was 6 months when i took her away for the first time and ironically the only places we've had any problems was in the US
