Well depends on the length of your work...you are probably still a foreign resident if you are only on a temporary working visa or something...but they aren't checking visa stamp so oh well a passport was good enough. Not sure if it's good enough now with this new ID with address requirement but so far we haven't seen JAL enforcing it
