The hotels are like 5 minutes walk from each other, so not that much of a difference really. Both are generally quite central (if you don't mind walking everywhere) however to get to the Colleseum, Vatican City its fastest to just use the subway which both properties are not too far from. That said, I did spend the entire day walking around and it was pretty easy imo.
