if you have a home in LHR or HKG, you can rest for <23 hours and continue with your trip.....let's party on this fare

Well, now a BA Gold card has a fixed price :]

But what i had in mind was, doing LHR to midt-east places that are serviced by a 777 or 747 and nice for transits (accroding to an earlier thread, Doha, Abu Dahbi and Dubai and possible Cairo are good for this), and do it hub and spoke.

If you get a nice place in Heathrow with a nice day room rate, then most of these places have flights out during afternoon or evening, with arrivals during mornings, i.e. sleepovers in Heathrow every second day.

Doing small hops on A319's and the like is inconvenient and uncomfortable, so I'll skip those, but a few places are serviced by 767'es (GVE, MXP, FCO, etc) and could be considered.

As for HKG, a lot of the same can be scheduled in Asia, in and out and a few just-under 23 hrs in HKG for sleep?

As for Africa, I'm not too familiar with with the OW route map looks like, but a few segments should be doable, i.e. medium-haul in larger a/c, not small things?

SWP has the same problem as Africa, not a lot of routes that are medium-haul, except SYD-PER and SYD-AKL and the like?

Please spring in with ideas for a killer itn.
