Afterburner, the salary paid to airline executives is lower than that in most other industries, but then airlines in general and AC specifically have a lower rate of return on investment and capital.

Ray Miles CEO of CP Ships whose report I have here made $471,640 USD with a bonus of $105,647USD BUT his company earned $103M USD on revenues of $2.6B USD. That's fair to me.

Not everybody earns $1,000,000 USD a year.

But Carty set an example at AA, as did a lot of other US airline execs.
