I think I mentioned in another thread where you also posted that I lived at one for 2 weeks during construction on my home and by day 3, they knew Charlie by name and had a biscuit for him. The very first day, Charlie did a Houdini when I was trying to get the suitcase into the room and the manager caught him down the hall! He then had to let me back into the room that I locked chasing after Charlie!
At Red Lion hotels, guest pets are issued a hotel specific ID tag for the duration of their stay, so that any pet who gets loose can be 1) identified as a hotel guest and 2) returned to the correct room/owner. I'm tempted to suggest the idea to LQ corporate.
