Hi all,

I am taking my girlfriend to Rome for her birthday and struggling to find a decent hotel near the Spanish Steps. The dates I am looking at are 22nd - 25th September.

All the usual contenders (Westin, Cavalieri) seem to be fully booked. Is there some event on that weekend?

The only option that looks quite good is the Grand Hotel Via Veneto. Pretty pricey at 650 EUR / night but I guess it is after all Rome and seems to be a great location.

If anyone has any suggestions for alternatives I would be eternally grateful. I am considering splitting the nights between two hotels if there are other options.
