After finally convincing BA and QF and my TA that it actually *is* possible to open-date all flight segments on a OWE5, my question is

Should I? How important is it? Am I letting myself in for lots of horrible problems if I don't? I just like the idea of knowing that all my airport taxes are paid before I leave.
