I am currently at 930,029 and starting to get concerned. I had thought of buying 40K and getting 10K bonus. That would put me within striking distance. Prepaying some recurring expenses with gift cards might have put me over the top but it would have been close. I had previously received bonuses for two Citi cards (I still have and use) and just assumed that it would be futile to apply for another, ever.
Then lightning struck and I saw this link:

I knew it had been 18 months, so I took a chance...and got my approval with 75K miles (as soon as I spend $1,500 in 6 months). So...it looks like I'll make it!!!
