Currently in Paris, deaf-mutes yesterday, gold ring scam trIed today. It helps to be a cynical New Yorker. Never been pickpocketed, my biggest fear is that I will have the typical American reaction if I catch someone trying and shove an unbrella in the eye or smash their skull with a tripod. I imagine the paperwork would be awful!
