Unless you plan to be Chairman Preferred, I think there are 2 important fees that US charges and UA does not for AWARD REDEMPTIONS:

1 - date/time changes are $150 on US
2 - redemption fee $25 domestic and $35 internatinoal on US

I don't think UA charges fees where US does not.

UA also has one-way and short haul awards and US does not.

Of course, do wait until we know more about the new Mileage Plus.
